Weingarten Rights (Article 16.4) ===== If you are called into a meeting with management that you reasonably believe could lead to discipline, you have the right to stop the meeting and request a Union Representative. **Statement to use:** //"If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, I respectfully request that my union representative be present."// ===== 2. Progressive Discipline (Article 16.2) ===== Discipline must be corrective, not punitive. Except in cases of gross misconduct, management should follow these steps: - Oral Warning - Written Warning - Suspension - Discharge ===== 3. The 15-Day Clock (Article 17.2) ===== **Do not wait.** You have only **15 calendar days** from the date an incident occurred (or when you first learned of it) to file a formal grievance.
